Who I am?

I love technology and I love music. Flying airplanes, developing policies and systems to regulate and implement aviation at an industry and States was my flight plan for Almost 40 years. Whether from my flight deck at 39000 feet or behind a desk or during missions around the globe from the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Across my 20 years at ICAO, I facilitated training programs that advanced safety management practices, including SMS/SSP courses and Remotely Piloted Aviation Systems implementation workshops. By coordinating learning interventions and advising on operational and safety management issues, I enabled stakeholders to meet evolving industry standards.

My commitment to education extends to fostering critical thinking and professional growth, underscoring my dedication to a safer and more efficient aviation system., enhancing a global sustainable aviation system has been my ultimate goal as a professional. In that line, I was honoured to be a professor at McGill University in Montreal for 6 years, lecturing on Aviation Safety Management Systems.

But also, I love music. Through all the ups and downs that I been through my life, my bass guitar has been by my side. Therefore, music performance/production seems to be my next destination. I prepared myself for retirement long time ago with the goal to keep updated in my two passions. I got a lot of inspiration from JIm Allchin, computer scientist and former Co- President of Microsoft who is also a consummate guitar player and composer with several successful Blues records. Technology and arts can co-exist beautifully.

I found that reinventing ourselves after retirement is not an option but a mandate to keep current within the society.
